WXCRL BACC RR Round Up

The penultimate WXCRL event of the season the WXCRL Bournemouth Arrow Road Race last Saturday was blessed with perfect weather – warm and sunny - ideal racing conditions. Ross Adams – Red Kite Cycles took the win from a small breakaway group including Jamie Howard – Exeter Wheelers and Roland Tilley – Ride Team.

Sean Conway the Bournemouth Arrow’s WXCRL event organiser did a splendid job rallying his troops. Sean zooms up the WXCRL points table to 30th place after bagging a whopping 30 points for his efforts.

Eastham out of reach

Richard Eastham - Bournemouth Jubilee Wheelers has won the inaugural WXCRL 2009 Championship with one event left after taking 4th place on Saturday. Mathematically out of reach Richard has amassed an impressive 166 points 31 points ahead of current 2nd place Steve Dring - Echelon Spiuk who is not eligible to ride this Sunday and 58 points ahead of current 3rd place Stuart Bowers - Scott UK.

Richard has been the most consistent performer picking up points in nearly every race he’s ridden. Never outside the top 3 in the table Richard has won points in our first event back in February right through to last Saturday’s road race.

So how could you have beaten Richard’s current 166 point tally? Well here's a few examples...

To have organised 6 separate WXCRL events (30x6 = 180 points)

Or

Marshalled on 34 separate occasions (5x34 = 170 points)

Or

Beaten him out on the road!

Congratulations Rich!
